This edition of the Need for Speed racing games has new race modes called Duel and Drift. These are designed to be super challenging. They are only available in Carbon Canyon. It is possible for a character to die in these modes. You can customize your crew's cars with a new Autosculpt tool that was introduced in Need for Speed: Carbon. There are car classes for the first time in this version of the game. You can choose for the first time to represent the Tuner, American Muscle Car or Exotic Car class. New programming makes the car classes handle and perform differently. You also get to choose who is on your crew in Carbon.
